Curriculum Vitae

 

Marjan Boonen studied voice at the Utrecht Conservatory, followed up by  private lessons with: Erna Spoorenberg, Henny Diemer, Cristina Deutekom, Takako Hara and Zjenja McCray. Momentarily she is being coached by Hanneke de Wit. She also particapated in several masterclasses: Udo Reinemann, Bernard Kruysen,  Rudolf  Knoll (Mozarteum), Jekatarina Jofel and Renata Scotto. She gave many recitals and concerts, amongst whom are concerts with the Symphony Orchestra of Santiago (Chile) and Vidin (Bulgaria) In 1994 she attended the Bayreuther Festspiele via a scholarship issued by the Wagner Genootschap, Amsterdam, Holland.

In january 2004 she was Donna Elvira in a Don Giovanni-production that toured in the Netherlands. She recently started her own comic opera-entertainment show called   Opera Comica.  In the summer of 2008 she will do a tour in Tuscany, Italy, with the Amersfoorts Jeugdorkest, singing Verdi and Puccini-aria's.

 

Choir-work:
